You can sort by any column (format, category, title, name, email address) and refreshing or reloading the page returns it to the original sort order, which is in the order in which the images have been submitted.
You can click on a thumbnail and it will open the image in a separate window and display it at 1024 x 768 pixels. Position the two windows side by side so you can view the titles and name in the "control" window and the image in the other window.
